Medical Care Facilitated By BTTF |
Breast Treatment Task Force (BTTF) facilitates free breast screening and education, diagnostic follow-up and treatment for patients without access to health insurance.
Most diagnostic and treatment patients assisted through BTTF programs would otherwise experience large medical debts or bankruptcy - see Patient Stories.
BTTF Programs began in late 2006 with the organization's founding medical partner, Bellevue Hospital. BTTF programs expanded to Woodhull Hospital, Union Square Imaging Center, Flushing Imaging Center, and Bay Ridge Medical Imaging in 2009 and 2010. Each medical partner agrees to assist uninsured patients at the lowest possible rates, which BTTF pays to each institution. BTTF services are always free to patients.
BTTF has facilitated more than $8 million in medical care for hundreds of uninsured patients since the program's inception in December 2006. See return on investment for each program.
New! The BTTF Council
BTTF Council members want to make a difference and assist patients without health insurance.
The Council is comprised of young professionals (primarily ages 22-35) in NYC contributing talent and resources to grow Breast Treatment Task Force. Events throughout the year include wine tastings and mixers to support BTTF's mission.
To join BTTF Council please contact the Council Co-chairs on Facebook.
